Singer. Songwriter. Swoon-inducing crooner.
With all the savvy you’d expect from a New York City kid, Zarina Nares moved to LA at the age of 17 in hot pursuit of a musical career. Though she took up modeling just to pay the bills, the symbiotic success between both careers is proving to her fans in every camp that the sight of her is just as beguiling as her sound.
Capturing audiences in Los Angeles clubs—and captured in the diary of Hedi Slimane—Zarina has steadily gained recognition as both model and musician, a synchronicity recently encapsulated as she was featured along with Lauryn Hill in Woolrich’s American Soul campaign.
Zarina’s 2017 debut EP, Songs to Sway To, caught the attention of Manimal Records, landing her as label-mates with legends like Yoko Ono and Warpaint. Manimal has already released her 2018 single, “Sweet Dreams, TN,” which is as playful as it is sultry and loaded with longing and insight beyond her years, proving yet again that there’s far more to Zarina than meets the eye.
Inspired. Inspiring. Visionary.
