FLORA FINESSER. FOUND OBJECTS ARTIST. FLOWER GIRL.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder rings true for Susannah Liguori. Blooming in the Pacific Palisades of California, Susannah spent her childhood surrounded by mother nature’s beauty. When it came time to plant her roots on new ground, Susannah transplanted to New York City to study sculpture and drawing at New York University. It was in this new city that she looked to a different sort of beauty, one more understated and unexpected. Branching out from natural beauty to man made, Susannah found inspiration in abandoned items such as forgotten foiled candy wrappers and trashed takeaway bags. Preserving them in resin and incorporating other mediums such as marbles, she found a way to freeze the Times Square city’s’ treasures in time.
Taking time to stop and smell the flowers, Susannah needed a new creative outlet after graduating art school. After working for a NYC flower shop, Susannah became a budding florist herself. Moving back to the West Coast, she germinated her own studio – True Blue Blooms. Looking back to mother nature for inspiration, she found a way to cross breed her love of both sculpting and scavenging natural objects. From daisies to dahlias and all thats in between, Susannah’s arrangements are a perennial masterpiece.
Inspired. Inspiring. Visionaries.
